For the first time yesterday, Doreen and I didn't have to wake up at 3am to start our trek into NYC for a brain scan..  We actually were able to wake up at normal time, get the kids ready for school and then set course for an early afternoon appointment.

For the second scan in a row, I was able to make use of NYU's newer office and machines - what a difference - it makes the 35 minutes in "the tube" tolerable.  They made me comfortable, put on some Railroad Earth tunes, and honestly, it was not too bad at all.  ( Or I am getting way to used to this )...

The results were not 100% ideal, unfortunately..  My bro-in-law Joe summed it up perfectly as a " Mixed bag" ..

There is a new tumor, very tiny, that needs to be addressed.  The docs noticed it on my last scan, but had hoped it was just some residual scarring from the last procedure.  Alas, that does not seem to be the case, and I'll be heading back in for more Gamma Knife Surgery..

In the grande scheme, this "unfortunate" news is actually not all bad.( I know, Jimbo sounding crazy again, but stick with me on this )....   As the Neurosurgeon pointed out, a year ago I had 4 very large tumors on the back of my swelling brain as a result of cancer that was spreading throughout my body.. The fact that its a year later, and I have only had very tiny blips since could very well be a sign that the chemo is thwarting and throttling back the spread..   This new blip Is so small that it could be leftover from the first batch that were just too tiny to see..  Its so tiny that we are not likely addressing it until January..

Anyway, Im choosing the sunnier sides of the street... I feel good, Im back to work, Im so looking forward to seeing friends and family over the holidays..  Life is fantastic right now..  The kids are thriving and keeping me motivated and beaming..

I am flush with copious supply of fight and drive ..

Body scans in a couple weeks...

Onward - always forward - full steam..

LOVE LOVE LOVE

ps. thanks for all the vibes and energy - Lit up my world today in form of sizzling rainbow ..   #blessedbeyondmeasure
